The Brazos River Authority has announced that a Stage 1 Drought Watch has been implemented for four of the 11 reservoirs within the BRA water supply system which includes Lake Aquilla. As such, Files Valley WSC members are asked to voluntarily limit the use of their water for non-essential purposes and to practice water conservation, including limiting landscape irrigation to not more than twice per week in accordance with the following recommended schedule:
Odd-Numbered Addresses water on Tuesday and/or Saturday.
Even-Numbered Addresses water on Wednesday and/or Sunday.
The goal is of our Stage 1 – Mild Condition Plan is to reduce our total overall system usage by 5%.
